How do I access play therapy support for my child?
To start play therapy for your child, please contact our Client Pathways team on 0412 189 398 or via email at info@thefamilysystemshub.com.
Our Pathways team will take the time to understand your child’s and parent needs, and find the right therapist for your family.
What does the play therapy journey look like?
At The Family Systems Hub, the Play therapy process begins with a 90-minute Initial Parent Consultation (caregivers only). This session provides a safe space to share your concerns, explore family dynamics, child and family history, and set therapy goals. It also provides an opportunity for you and the therapist to get to know one another and the approach that will be undertaken.
Following this, we begin weekly play sessions with your child, tailored to their needs and developmental stage. Thereafter, the therapist will have dedicated regular parent sessions to share progress, provide parenting support and review goals.
Can I just place my child on a waitlist?

I have NDIS funding, can I use my funding to access your supports for myself or child?
Yes, we accept self-managed NDIS Clients. We are unable to accept those with NDIA funding, or NDIS Plan-Managed Clients at this time.

Yes, we offer both in-person and telehealth (online) therapy options. Availability depends on the therapist and the type of therapy you need. For our Adult Therapists, you can view live availability directly on our Therapists page.

Yes! We offer caregiver support pathways designed to prepare you mentally and emotionally for parenthood.

I’m a play therapist/social worker / educator and I would like to access some individual or group supervision, how do I do that?
I am studying and would like to complete my internship with The Family Systems Hub. Is this possible?
